    Thankyou Malthusian,
yes indeed , I mislabelled, it was a fixed term annuity with no income paid until the end of the fixed date. I can honestly say I hadnt heard of an annuity which pays out at the end of the term. I can see the advantages in this for sure. I will encourage my niece to find a suitable ifa again. She doesnt mind paying in the least, but was disconcerted a little by the two she met as she felt they didnt quote understand her needs and attitude. They spoke about her risk attitude, but one went on to say that there was nothing they could do really, with a low attitude to risk .

hat there was nothing they could do really, with a low attitude to risk .

There is a  saying that has some truth in it.

To take no risks is the riskiest thing of all.

  • Good Morning all again!

My Niece has text me all excited as she has just seen an advert saying Nsi gteed growth bond at 6 per cent odd for one year. No top amount either…all rotect by the FSCS, She is thrilled and has decided this would be the place to put er aforementioned metlife pension into via a sip. I said i’d get on here and ask for her, if you dont mind. So procedurally I am guessing open a sipp with someone , then transfer metlife pension into t/then open nsi online?
would be grateful yet again for any pointers. Thankyou

With most pensions you can not hold the money in savings accounts from a third party.
You need to use a more niche provider and one that accepts that you can hold NS & I accounts.
