Carpet quote

Hi I have a loft which is by length is 14 feet and 6 inches and by width is 10 feet and 9 inches.

New carpet I have been quoted including underlay plus gripper = £260.

Is this a reasonable price for 1 room?

And is charging £40 more to take old carpet reasonable?

The carpet will have to be 5m long x 4 m wide.  How much are they charging you psm?

Looks a decent price  £13 sq m, but it depends what quality carpet is being fitted.

For that size piece you are also into roll end territory so you may get something better quality if you trawl the independent stores.

its up to you if £40 is worth it. We just pulled ours up, cut it in rolls and chucked it in garage and then took it to the skip at the weekend for £0

if the carpet is in reasonable condition, you might even get someone who will give you money for it.

TBH £260 sounds quite cheap for 20 square meters all in. That is £13 per square meter, so when you factor grippers, any door bars, and the cost of the underlay, its quite a cheap carpet. Does that also include delivery and installation?

It sounds too cheap for me

I've gone on Tapi and used one of their cheapest carpet at 9.99/sqm and out a 5x4m room size in and flooring alone is nearly that much.  They're expensive for accessories etc but your quote seems very cheap to include everything
