Our daughter (23yo) is currently looking for full time employment. She works 12 hours a week. Her income is her own. Can she claim Universal Credit for herself whilst she is looking for employment.
Forgot to ask if it would effect our UC? Like I say she lives with us but independently.

Yes, she must claim UC in her own right.
As she lives with a family member (parent), she will not be entitled to housing costs (unless she rents and she is named on the tenancy).
Her claiming UC will not affect your claim for UC - they are unrelated.

As a single person under 25 then her maximum UC entitlement will be £292.11/month. With working 12 hours per week, if she receives more than about £530 of earnings each month then there will be no entitlement to UC. This is because any earnings she receives will reduce her UC by 55%.
