Reclaiming Packaged Bank Account Fees

Hello all, first post on here! I've just been reading the page about reclaiming packaged bank account fees, and I can see that there is the Resolver tool for getting the ball rolling. However, my first problem is that I can't remember when I originally opened the account, or even if I had a different one to begin with, and was then 'encouraged' to upgrade. I threw away all my old bank statements years ago, so I don't know how I could find out when I had the packaged account, but it could be going back 20 years. This leads to my second problem which is that I was very naive and not financially savvy at all when I was younger and it took me years to even realise that I was paying a monthly fee for something I didn't use/need. I think I just assumed it was normal. But me being a bit thick doesn't come under the list of mis-selling categories!

Is there any point in me trying to make a claim when I'm so vague on the details and don't have any bank statements any more?

Thanks

I thought PBA reclaims were pretty much dead nowadays.  Even at their peak of complaining a decade ago, the uphold rate was only around 1 in 10 cases.     Mainly down to the banks ability to apply time bars for complaints (6 years from when opened and 3 years from being reasonably aware of an issue).

However, my first problem is that I can't remember when I originally opened the account, or even if I had a different one to begin with, and was then 'encouraged' to upgrade.
So, what would your complaint reasons be?

Is there any point in me trying to make a claim when I'm so vague on the details and don't have any bank statements any more?
We won't put you off but you would be reliant on the bank being generous this long after PBA complaints stopped being a problem.

Thanks, this is pretty much what I was expecting - too long ago now, not enough info about it, definitely not worth trying to chase up. I wouldn't have even thought about it if I hadn't just read the article today. I'll go back to not thinking about it  :D
