Student loan for mature student ineligible for Student Finance England

Would you recommend a loan or a credit card to cover tuition fees, given my situation?
  • I have received an offer to complete as MSc starting in September, which is £12,000 over the course of two years.
  • I am not eligible for Student Finance since I already have an MSc (despite funding this personally)
  • I have ten years experience and doing the MSc to upskill in a new area - my current employer will not provide any funding support
  • I will be reducing my working hours to 4 days per week to allow for study, meaning a 20% drop in income
  • I dont qualify for any benefits or carer allowance, and the University does not offer any scholarships

There used to be career development loans, do they still exist?
