Anyone know if Furness Building Society has any problems at the moment ?
Have been trying to phone them but only ever get music, despite holding for ages.
Same at all branches and head office.

Likely due to them offering the most competitive FRISA rate for the last few days. VM has beaten them now, hopefully phone line traffic dies down.If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

I thought it odd that neither of Furness BS FR Isas 2 yr 5.10 or 3 yr 5.15 have been shown on savingschampion's tables, Not there now either. SO that's publicity they didn't get.1

That's very odd - MoneyFacts had them though. The MSE website did too ~ https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/best-cash-isa/happybagger said:I thought it odd that neither of Furness BS FR Isas 2 yr 5.10 or 3 yr 5.15 have been shown on savingschampion's tables, Not there now either. My printer is a bit hit and miss so I phoned Furness on 25/08 to request an application pack for their Triple Access Saver, which at 5% is currently at the top of the Instant Access tables. I'd been holding on for about 20 minutes with only the background music for company, so decided to send an email instead. Just as I hit <SEND> a very pleasant woman answered and took my details and a comprehensive pack, including a pre-paid reply envelope, arrived yesterday.
Not sure how much I will use the account but didn't have the heart not to apply, so have everything ready to send off after the bank holiday, together with a cheque for a fiver. Never know when these accounts may come in handy, even if they're not always top of the league.0
