Injury claim / trip and fall compensation

My Mum suffered a fall in a supermarket. She broke two ribs that healed in about 6 weeks, she can't use her right hand as she used to, as well as other minor injuries and the supermarket offered £2000 damages although the average payout I found online are much higher. I wonder if it is worth using an NWNF lawyer or if compensation of this kind is realistic and acceptable. Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to express their opinion or has had experiences of this kind

Does she have Legal Expense insurance on her Home insurance? If so they should be happy to take up the case to avoid the 25% success fee of a conditional funding agreement.

Has there been a consultants medical report commissioned or is the supermarket just making a go away offer?

    No, she doesn't.

No medical reports due to the NHS situation over Christmas and her ongoing anxiety. She tried to be visited at our hospital but after 6 hours wait she decided to be taken home. She couldn't breath due to her injuries and was under codeine.
Yes, the supermarket has made a a go away offer based on our email showing pictures of her injuries and the report of the GP with prescribed medications.

A medical report would be done by a private doctor not the NHS

If you have no LE cover with home insurance or union or such then a conditional funding solicitor may be your better option. Just make sure you understand the agreement before instructing/signing. In particular what you'll have to pay if you win plus what you have to pay if you decide to discontinue the action
