SIP Parking Charge Notice- Appeal assistance required!

  • Hi people

I went ahead and explained my situation to SIP. They have come back with the following response:

We are in receipt your appeal against PCN 149272848.

Please be advised this charge was issued correctly, however, as a goodwill gesture to contribute towards the cost of the charge, we will accept an administration fee of £5.00 Please be aware, if you appeal to the IAS, the administration fee will be void.
Please be aware, this admin fee is valid for 14days, starting with the date of this email. If you choose not to accept this, or it is not paid within the time frame, the PCN will continue down the standard recovery method and stand.

    Yours Sincerely,

    SIP Parking Limited

They are being cheeky and requesting an admiration fee. I am sure these are not recoverable. Should I go ahead and pay these or write to them to say I will not be paying these.

Any further advice will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Now SIP are offering to settle this for a mere £5.00, I think you need to seriously consider that.

There could be quite a lot of work for you - certainly much more than £5's worth of work - if they continue to pursue you.

It depends on how much time you want to invest in this and whether you enjoy a good fight against scammers.

Even I would tell someone to pay the fiver.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
