I complete on my new home this week and will be doing meter readings etc when I get the keys.
With regards to energy; do I need to go with who the previous owners are with or can I choose any?
Through a networking group I’m in I’ve met a utility warehouse rep so was going to chat with her but is it as easy to just switch in the current climate?
I won’t be moving in straight away as need to do some bits first

You have to set up an account with the current suppliers, give them readings from the day you become responsible for it, then you're free to switch away.
UW may not be very good value, you usually have to bundle lots of things together to make it worth it but only if you couldn't find decent deals on each separately. It can be difficult to find UW tariff information to compare whilst shopping around, which is what you need to be able to make an informed decision.3 -
