Applying for 180 day notice account - rate advertised is not confirmed amount at application

Hello...new to saving and reading around. just sent the 180 day notice account with Allica Bank. Martin guide says 5.1% AER, on the website itself it say 5.1, but now going through application process it says its 4.0%. Am I missing something here?

Yeh u looked at the 6 month fix.

yes I did - what an annoying mistake..i thought they would be one and the same so didnt look at any other options & just clicked on it. Thank you - lesson - read & double check  I cant seem to go back & amend. will try again. thank you though

If you dont see option to cancel then just open the account without depositing, you can then open new fix.

Your 4% one will auto close after 14 days of no deposits
