LCWRA Backpay!!

Am I entitled to any backpay if I filled in my UC50 in early 2020, and only just had my work capability assessment in June 2023, if I was on LCW beforehand?

If you reported a change in your health conditions then it will be from the assessment period in which you reported the changes.

Usually if it was a review started by DWP then the extra money is paid from the assessment period in which the decision was made. You could argue that if you had the decision earlier and were found to have LCWRA at that time then you would have been receiving extra money a long time ago. My advice would be to put a message on your journal to ask them.

  • Okay, great!! I'll check with them!  :)
