My current PCP on my car has recently come to an end and I have taken out a new pcp agreement on a new vehicles and also kept my car from 1st pcp deal. I have called finance company 3 times to clear outstanding balance on pcp for 1st vehicle and told could not pay as balance already cleared and have received letter confirming balance £0. I also tried to resolve directly with dealership and told they couldn't help as cleared. I have now received a call from the dealership saying that finance company has cleared outstanding balance in error, phoned finance company who said dealership transferred the money in error and nothing they can do. Dealership is telling me to pay them direct but will need to open agreement back up and do another credit check. Who do I pay and will this effect my credit rating?

Pay the dealer the amount they mistakenly paid to settle the first PCP agreement.
It's as simple as that as it was their error.
There is no need for any new credit agreement.0
