The cash back on water goes from 3% to 1% and energy bills 2% to 1%
on the plus side with edge you get 1% on supermarket spend and fuel.
Do you still have the old 123 credit card because that gave more cash back on supermarket and fuel.If you only want one account then I think Edge would beat 123 lite (if you don’t have the credit card). But as I said above 123lite plus Chase account which pays 1% on all debit card spending, is a better than Edge on its own for those that still have 123 lite.1 -
David_Drummond said:So I already have the 123 Lite account. Is it worth upgrading to the EDGE up? I more than meet the criteria of £1500 paid in each month. And I have my DD set up too.Do your own calculations. Like MX5, I have 123lite plus Chase debit card and it works out better than Edge up. Not for everyone, but I keep a minimum balance in 123Lite and and move money regularly between it and a 4.5% EA account.Remember you cannot reverse your decision once you upgrade.1

Thanks for the answers to my post. The added savings account doesn't interest me as I have other options for my savings that pay more. I do not use my debit card for supermarket shopping so the 1% cashback isn't a factor either (I use my AMX/Avios earning credit card for shopping & clear the balance every month). So on reflection, changing up to an EDGE acct seems to offer no benefits to me and only an increase in my monthly fee. I think I will stick with 123lite for now.
