Joint Executors

Wonder if anyone knows how it works when the they notify you of the Grant of Probate - do both Executors get notified? Or just the one that actually applied?

Thanks

In our case just Mrs Tet was notified (as the lead applicant). I don't know whether this was by design or an oversight

I've done it twice as a joint executor and only I was notified, but both names appeared on the Grant.  I have a feeling that there's an option at some point to select who is the point of contact - maybe that's achieved by who goes first on the form and is submitting that application - can't just remember the details.

You can check the HMCTS Web site to see if Probate has been granted, if you know details like dates of birth and death.
