IAS Appeal Dismissed - What next?

Hi
Newbie here.  I've gone through the appeal process. Spent ages on correspondence and getting evidence but my appeal with IAS has been dismissed.

Basically, signs I read said £1.50 for the time I wanted. I had cash.  I parked, went to make payment, machine out of order, notices confusing as to what to do, tried to contact Helpline 3 x times no response, messaged Excel Parking online, Found another machine, turns out £1.50 is for over the phone payments so tried making payment using web, failed/crashed and burnt!  At this point 5 minute timebomb was up!  I was already screwed!  I left my car parked in the car park without a ticket.  Tried contacting them again.  Gave up. Got home after an hour and paid for the car park online successfully although very late!!!

Not sure what to do next.  I really don't want to pay them as I was genuinely trying to make payment and as a first time user of Excel Parking wasn't sure of the payment process.

Any advice as to next step please. I'd sooner go to small claims court to have a judge decide.

That's the only place you'll receive an impartial hearing and adjudication. So it's await a formal Letter Of/Before Claim from Excel or their solicitors, or a County Court Claim Form from the Northampton CCBC. Come back on this thread if you receive either.

Have you complained to the landowner and asked them to intervene to get this cancelled?  Many have succeeded via this route.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Same as this person who lost at POPLA:

No worries and certainly no paying!  Next you will get a series of £170 threatograms.  Nasty, innit?

One favour please: don't go just yet:

We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and which WILL now escalate into an 'extortion' attempt to add a fake £70 fee on top of the already stupidly high parking charge - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.

It will need consumer input (powerful voices) but change is afoot. It's taken about 5 years to get to this stage:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6333036/breaking-news-government-has-announced-the-statutory-code-of-practice-and-enforcement-framework/p1

And then the industry threw victims' money at it and blocked and delayed it - explained here:

Please now Bookmark BOTH threads and set up email alerts on your posting profile, so that you get an email alert when we post there, as we will, once the Public Consultation opens.

...anticipated very soon...end of July we think.

We need people like you and your driving family & friends to respond in high numbers.

    Separate submissions from each driver.

I am sure you want your voice heard to stop this happening again.
