Morning everyone
I had a lovely few days with eldest DD - she went back to Germany on Saturday afternoon. Little one was so excited to see her and thrilled with her little bag of goodies from Japan. She spent Friday morning with her granny and grandad and then the afternoon with her cousin and then a friend. On Saturday we went for a nice lunch before she had to get the train back to Newcastle airport. We both really enjoyed seeing Stacey Dooley on Wednesday - it was at the Northern Stage - I'd never been before.
I took little one to our local theatre yesterday to see the childrens' drama group perform Frozen Jr - it was excellent and little one loved it. Then DD picked us up and dropped me off at home and they were off on holiday - little one was shouting out the window - ' we're going to Butlins!' They stayed at a hotel somewhere off the motorway last night and are now on their way again - they're going with a group of friends this time so little one will have little girls her age to play with - which she'll love.
I was up late last night watching Elton John at Glastonbury - I thought he was brilliant. No way could I stand in a crowd like that - I'd have to be in the VIP area!
Well I'd better get some jobs done before it's time to go down to work - I'll have to bike this week so hopefully the showers will keep away.
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning all
Not getting much chance to post between working full time, doing all household chores, dog walks and sorting out meals etc for Ds2.
Im just waiting for him to come out of theatre at Addenbrookes they are doing more surgery to insert something to try and force his femur bone to grow to close the gap, he has around 8cm missing so this will take around 4 months they have said. He was first down so I’m hoping they will contact me around 1 all being well.Other than that not a lot to report, feeling a bit jaded and trying to look at options to go away & to take Ds2 with me, we used to camp but that’s not an option, thought about getting a camper van but don’t really know where to start looking. I don’t want something too big though.
Hope everyone is doing ok. Enjoy the sunshine if you have it. Take care.11 -
My fingers are crossed for your DS Topsy and I hope he makes a good recovery. x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9

Hello all, I'm bringing up the rear today ! DGD arrived just after 7.30am as she's going on an outward bound course for the week and needed us to take her to school. We took her along with her large suitcase and sleeping bag ready for 9 but they didn't get on the bus till nearly 10 am and we waited to wave her off. We then went straight to Aldi to do a store cupboard shop. All was well till we got to the ice cream aisle where Mr Fix It went wild and threw lollies/ ice cream in the trolley🤨 I might have put in a bar of turkish delight and 2 belgian buns in there too, ooops !
I've just had a coffee after playing tetris with the freezers and putting the fridge stuff away, now I have to get myself going and put the store cupboard stuff away. Nothing else will get done this afternoon, I'm shattered from not sleeping well for 3 nights and then getting up early, perhaps I'll have a nana nap.
Scarlet I hope you can get your ear sorted.
Camelot tomorrow you can relax and have some peace and quiet for 6 weeks.
taff thanks for the gold star.
Topsy nice to see you posting, I hope all goes well with the op for DS2.
Sorry I have forgotten what other people have posted, my mind's like a sieve today.
Take care hugs to all

Taff - yes, I complained, I haven't been so angry for years. Yesterday I phoned M&S, overnight I stewed over it so this morning I went back to the store and spoke to the manager (? person in charge). She hadn't heard about it, was rather shocked too and apologised!DP1 - I'm booked to see Ivo Graham at Northern Stage in October, it's a lovely venue. I used to live about 400 yards from it, across the road and behind the Civic Centre so used it a lot.Optimistically I put on a white washing load which finished just as a heavy dose of rain fell so it's all hanging on the airer upstairs. Since I got back from Oban the sun has been shining it's little heart out and there's a good drying wind, but I'm not moving it.11
