Just don't write anything in the subtitle box.

If a listing automatically renews and  there's already something in the subtitle box, then you'll get charged. So you should edit the listings concerned and remove the subtitle so when it does automatically renew you won't be charged (or end it before it's due to renew, then relist without the subtitle)

It has been automatically relisted with subtitle. I hope ebay will waive the fees after my explanation. The listing had 0 reviews I have ended it. Thanks

    1. as above, stop writing things in the subtitle box
    2. check the bottom of the create new listing page before you click the "list with displayed fees button", it should say "list it for free." if it doesn't, and it says a number (£2.00 for example) then you will be charged £2
    3. why are you listing on non free listings weekends anyway? you stand to lose more than £2 by doing this if the items are worth more than £20ish.

EBay do have a lot of issues, but typing things into the subtitle box has never been raised as an issue.

As per the previous excellent advice to avoid paying unnecessary fees don’t put things in the subtitle box, don’t add extra features and always check the listing fee when you list.

It’s always worth trying for a goodwill gesture from eBay, but as you’ve done this before it might not be easy to get reimbursed again.
