I Think I May Have a Leak > How To Shut Off Water Properly.

Also the leak that my neighbour and I saw at one of the pipes going into the bottom of the boiler, when I said this to the engineer he stated that that was impossible as the pipe in question is a gas pipe not water. He said that the water we saw could have a build up of condensation which then overflowed down the inside of the boiler following the route of the gas pipe. I'm thinking that possibly the water / condensation has overflowed, gone down the outside of the rear of the pipe and had then pooled around the pipe's bottom fitting making it look as though it was seeping up from the fitting. This is just a guess on my part.
Either way everything's bone dry now and working as it should. Obviously I'll keep an eye on things for the few days.1
