As above.
Looks good, very positive reviews, and very good value.
Any downsides?!

(Current ancient is a Dyson DC25.)

Had to look that up. Sheesh the flumery around something to pick up dirt!
"High performance, multi cyclonic...." is this because more men are doing housework? For a woman it would be "does the job in double quick time"

    Can only
say I've had 3 Vax cleaners over the years - steam, wash and vac - and they've all done a good job and are a reasonable price. They don't have the high end brand name and advertising. They've been selling well for decades.
There seems to be a whole range of them. Which are you considering that's'cheap'?

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

We have the Airlift,  it makes and noise and sucks up dust.  Being able to lift the motor and dust canister off the wheels and handle makes it great for stairs and the car.

I can't see the need to spend 3-4 times more on a different brand.

    Thanks :-)
Just a lot cheaper than Dyson, so wondered.

The 'Airlift' is the steerable type, Davey, like the Dyson 'ball'? Have to say, I do like the manoeuvrability of the 'ball', but happy to try the basic VAX for all the cleaning that's done in our house  Yeah, and all by me :-(

I have a vax air stretch , I got it for 40 quid off an argos seconds retailer that has a large warehouse and it was a bargain!

Boy does it suck! I prefer it to a Dyson any day , way overpriced , the only thing I've found with mine is only one of the filters is washable the other you have to replace when it's clogged but you can get them cheap off ebay

For the I paid it was a great buy!
