Sounds like a financial adviser is your best starting point if you want to hold assets other than just cash, always assuming your SIPP allows such holdings.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

El_Torro took the words right out of my mouth! Seriously though, you need to tell us a bit about you; your age, your source(s) of income, your attitude to risk, how you intend to use your investments when you retire (will you buy an annuity or will you be happy to leave them invested and producing either income or growth?), and whether you have any knowledge of investing.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

This is someone who is already drawing her state pension and has a habit of posting brief uninformative posts asking for help but rarely returning to give more information eg: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6443282/fe-fundinfo-risk-score#latest

Unlikely answers here will be of any use, given the lack of information on which to answer!

If you have a SIPP and you're planning to put something in it then I would suggest money.
But avoid Monopoly money, a lot of providers take a dim view of anyone trying to play that game 😉

Sipps have around 30,000 different investment options, and a near-infinite combination is possible.   With the level of information you have given, you may as well pick a number between 1 and 30,000.  We need more details.

    It depends on several things:

    1. Your timeframe for when you will draw upon the money.
    2. Your attitude to risk, which includes your ability to access other more secure, lower risk, income.
    3. How much return do you think you need from the investments...this is very much related to point 2.

How old are you? The tax relief benefits of saving into a pension scheme stop at age 75.
