Good morning, it's already 20° here, but cloudy - there was heavy rain last night.
TA, I hope yesterday went as well as it could, it was a sad day for you. Hold on to the happy memories.
Gers, hope the bull has settled down - maybe he was annoyed that the cows were ignoring him!
Yesterday was an ok day, we took our friend to her appointment, then shopping. I did some myself as well.
Today, what delights are in store today - not a lot really , just a few jobs round the house.
Thinking of our poorly and sad people today, take care folks.

Morning - thanks for starting us off Scarlet.Yesterday was a washout. There was a rotation of heavy drizzle and hard rain all day. I only went out for my appointment with the practice nurse. My blood pressure was practically perfect so I left feeling happy. The day was actually quite cold so I had to resort to putting on a jumper.I've no plans for today except watching bits of the Glastonbury coverage. I really enjoyed the Foo Fighters last night and a new-to-me band called Gabriels. Most unexpected.TA - I hope that yesterday wasn't too sad and you were able to share some of the good times with others.Keep well. Happy Saturday to all.11

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, good of you to take your friend to her appointment.
Well done on the BP Gers, hope that bull has settled down.
Big hugs to you TA, hold those memories close to your heart.
Dry at the moment but showers forecast for this morning. Lots of heavy rain yesterday but still very warm.
The P7 leaver's assembly was great, quite emotional in parts but very enjoyable. The teachers have worked very hard to put on a fabulous show including photos of the children when they were babies, P1 and now. Can't say I'll be sorry to see some of them go as they have caused a lot of upset this last couple of years.
I was totally exhaused when I got home yesterday, shelled some broad beans I picked from the allotment and put them in the freezer, had a shower and did nothing! I had a good night's sleep but feel like a washed out rag this morning.
The little one was sent home from Nursery yesterday as she had been sick, DD phoned to ask me to get some paracetemol for her on my way home, she was a sorry looking soul. I've had a message to say she's feeling better this morning, hope it was only a passing bug.
Hope you all have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone dog has been walked while it was cool unfortunately I had a run in with this stupid woman my dog is as good as gold and hers takes not a blind bit of notice he seen my dog across the park and came racing across taking no notice of her shouting of him so I put mine on her lead and picked her up she came over and got it jumping up at me wanting to get my dog not to bite just to play saying he takes no notice of me I waited until she got it and walked away when she got to the other side of the park she let it off again did the same again so we stood ages not able to go anywhere I said if you can’t do anything with it keep it on a lead and she said but he likes to run about it’s not my fault he won’t behave somebody save me from stupid people so we didn’t get far we give up and came home while it was causing more chaos with someone else’s dog I wouldn’t care it was such a lovely morning now it’s to hot to take her anywhere. I am going to walk the hubby over to sit on the seats on the market later it will get him out of the house for an hour and a bit chat I need to pop out I forgot to get coffee can’t do without my cuppa on a morning TA I hope yesterday wasn’t to sad and you remembered the good times . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning folks and thanks for starting us off SCARLET. The sun has his hat on again and it already feels warm.
Yesterday went as well as it could do. As expected it was packed and there was standing room only by the time the service began. There were some lovely family tributes and I was quite touched to get a mention as her oldest friend in one of them.. I thought that was nice. She will have left a huge gap in a lot of lives.
Today there is a family gathering in store this afternoon. There have been quite a few milestone birthdays so far this year so someone decided it would be a good excuse for all the family to get together. I think about 25 of us will be there, aged from about 8 to 80. It's at a lovely old restaurant with lots of outside tables. I usually find some excuse not to go to any of these family do's as I can't get used to being there without my Bob at my side so I'm not really looking forward to it.
The Friday Tidy didn't get done yesterday so I might (or might not) have a quick flick round with the duster and vac this morning.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care one and all, be safe xx

Camelot - the bull and his harem have been moved to a different field, think it was to allow the field to be cut. I miss him. 😀 Good to hear that your little one is feeling better.Izzy - what a selfish and thoughtless woman.10

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Scarlet. Looks like being another hot day.
Got up early yesterday morning and went shopping. It was quiet and cool in the supermarket and I was home by 9.30am.
Really need to get out in the garden and trim some shrubs.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x11 -
Morning all, I am up early after having a nightmare about painting a house and a nearby gunman, bizarre combination. It's been raining overnight but now there are just very grey skies so hopefully the rain will stay away. Yesterday putting up the fence seemed to be painfully slow but we managed to stay out later, today will be the last push and it will be finished ✌
Update on DNiece. She has started opening her eyes a bit more but is still in ICU and has the tube down her throat. They are doing tests to see if her brain and body are working as they should, so far it's looking good. They are going to do reconstructive surgery by taking fat and skin from her stomach, she's been struggling with her weight for years so this is one thing that will work in her favour. The surgeon said that if she was a smaller frame she probably wouldn't have survived, the wounds would have had to be too deep.
Camelot hope little one is feeling better. That sounds like what DGD had and then passed it on to me. Glad the end of year do went well, bet there wasn't a dry eye from most of the parents though.
Izzy some people are so brainless. Hope DH gets taken for his walk too 😁
TA glad yesterday went well and I really hope you enjoy tonight at your large family do.
Scarlet what a lovely person you are to take your friend.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Morning all its going to be a hot one today and tomorrow we are off today to help DD1 pack up the flat for the move on Monday .It will be good to see them make the next step in their lives as they have outgrown the one bedroom . DH and her FIL will be doing the heavy stuff in the van on Monday and I will have a car full but will have to hang back to give the keys to the new owner and then try to find the new house we have never been there before so that will be an adventure
Camelot Glad LO is feeling better this morning
TA Pleased it all went well yesterday enjoy your gathering
Izzy I am an owner with a dog that never listens or she catches sight of something so she is always on the lead except in an enclosed field but she can be reactive and the amount of people whose dogs run up and i end up shouting is a weekly occurrence
Gers sounds like the Bull is a stroppy teenager
Nanny the gunman could have been me trying to persuade DH to build the wardrobe in DS room thats been in the garage for 2 years awaiting installation
Right better get a shift on have a good day whatever you are up to xxSlava Ukraini11 -
Morning all
Another bright and beautiful day just me and the dogs here atm, OH is at the boot sale and DD is still in bed so nice and peaceful 😃
OH is going shopping today to get some t-shirts for our holiday and a couple of pairs of shorts. I am going to stay home as I hate shopping at the best of times let alone go on a Saturday !
We have to go up to mums later and install her new dishwasher that should not take long, we will get the old one outside ready for collection on Monday.
BBQ for dinner tonight I’ve got a bit of pork which I will put in the sc and them crisp off on the bbq, will do some salads to go with it and halloumi.
TA glad it went as well as it could xxHave good days all and take care xx9 -
Thanks Scarlet & good morning allGlad it's sounding more positive for your niece Nan.TA glad BFF funeral went as well as these occasions can.Its a bit of a grey day here but warmish. We're off to the local musicfest in a couple of hours, DS1 will drop us off, so I just hope it doesn't rain. I can't decide what's best to wear for the weatherIzzy, sorry to hear of your run in with another dog. Because ours is such a big dog we don't let her off but have lost track of how many times she's been bitten by smaller loose dogsRight better examine my wardrobe for the afternoonHave a good weekend all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
