Depends if the estimated usage is correct or not?Can you work out your actual use over the last year?E.ON will be cheaper for your gas even if the estimate used is very badly wrong...... but it is closer on the electricity, and if you actually used more than around 1,300kW over a year then So would be cheaper for electricity...0

I don't really know my Estimated Annual Usage for last year because I've only moved out of my parents' house in the last 4 months. However, to my logic, I think that going with SO Energy is better because it's cheaper in terms of unit rates so if I use more energy than I expect in the winter, it'll overall be cheaper with SO Energy.
What do you think about that reasoning?0 -
As above, the answer depends on your use...The difference in kWh cost is very small compared to the difference in daily standing charge, so you'd have to be using an average of around 86kWh of gas a day and 3.6kWh of electricity a day before SO would actually be cheaper.Very unlikely you would ever be using that amount of gas given the current estimate, but you might get there on the electricity...What do you use for heating, is that gas or electric?0

Are you sure the So deal is still available? It sounds like the one which was withdrawn very quickly due to the sharp rise in wholesale rates.0

The SO deal is available because I originally signed up to switch to So Energy like 2 days ago but then Eon Next offered me this new Fixed Rate Tariff.spot1034 said:Are you sure the So deal is still available? Eon Next no exit fee to change tariff only if change supplier - has been confirmed by them on other threads.0

Hi,here are calcs based on your estimated usage from Eon above, there may still be 5% vat to be added. Not a lot of difference in cost, it will all depend on your usage, especially when you start using heating.
