Octopus Agile with Smart E7 Meter and Old Storage Heaters

My fix with EDF is ending on 31st July so looking at my options going forward and considering Octopus Agile.

However, I currently have a Smart Economy 7 Meter fitted by EDF a couple of years ago. It seems to have two outputs on it and it clicks on and off at the E7 times for my area to send power to my old "dumb" night storage heaters.

Can Agile by used with a smart 2 rate meter, or does it only work on smart single rates?

If I switch to Agile, will the meter continue to turn on my storage heaters at night, or will it no longer receive an "activation" signal if I'm not on an E7 tariff?

In principle it should work. Octopus can set the ALCS timings in your meter while billing you on Agile.
However I dob't recall hearing of anyone else running a system like this. You should ask Octopus directly.

I emailed them earlier this week but haven't had a reply, so I thought I'd see if anyone on here might know or have done the same. I guess I'll have to try calling them, but I normally work during their call opening hours.

Just an update, it's no problem for me to switch to Agile with an Eco 7 smart meter, but they can't change the "night" circuit from how it works now. It will continue on the Eco 7 times.
So it looks like the only option if I want to use smart switches is to have an electrician round to move my storage heaters on to the main consumer unit and just not use the "night" circuit.

Thanks for confirming that. It's what I hoped they'd say.
