Will this start a bidding war between Easy Access account providers do we think? I’m switching from my Santander to my Chase if Santander don’t come up with something higher in the next week.

Chase rubbish rates but good for spending abroad0

Chase were already beating Santander for me 3.2 vs 3.3.0

Chase bank offering, cashback, travel & savings is better than all of its big bank competitors.
Therefore I don't see 3.8% as "rubbish" and it's really good from a major bank. Most people who use them won't be going elsewhere even if they see 4-4.1% I bet.7 -
I still have Chase accounts from when 1.5% was a leading rate but I don’t keep much in it. However I think that’s a reasonable rate so I will probably keep a small pot of my first line easy access money in it, but keeping majority elsewhere

same here - at least it's GENUINE easy access. A lot of accounts listed as "easy access" (eg: on Money Facts) often have withdrawal limitations. I've moved some money into Principality - called "easy access" but limited to 2 withdrawals a yearRedImp_2 said:I still have Chase accounts from when 1.5% was a leading rate but I don’t keep much in it. If you wanted to only bother with 1 account for everything Chase would definitely be a solid option now.2

I rate Chase well for spending abroad and getting cash back. It's handy to keep a wee bit in savings and transfer to current account when required. 3.8% isn't to be sniffed at when it's so convenient to access funds. I do really use it for my monthly spending though and currently have some other easy access accounts elsewhere which pay more interest.0
