She is on as an additional driver on my insurance policy.

Unfortunately she has had a collision where she was at fault.
From my own experience, both of you will now have to declare a fault accident for the next 5 years. Your daughter because she was the driver and you because it was on your policy.

    Pedantically, no.

The daughter had the accident, and must declare an accident for the next 5 years.

The OP made a claim, and must declare a claim for the next 5 years.

It boils down to the same thing though, both are penalised for the next 5 years, which is why any offspring using your car should have their own insurance, then you didn't make a claim, suffer a loss, or have an accident and your premiums are unaffected.

Note that they always ask if you have had an accident, made a claim or suffered any loss, so you will be a liar (and hence making a fraudulent application) if for example, someone knocked your mirror off and you just bought a second hand one and replaced it without claiming but you don't declare it.

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
