I bought a caravan last year. It is in my sole name. Can my ex partner make any claim on it after we separate

The answer is "it depends", are still married, are there children involved, do you still have linked financial affairs, etc?Jeanette3438 said:I bought a caravan last year. It is in my sole name. Can my ex partner make any claim on it after we separate0 -
You mention partner. Were you married?0

Were you with your partner at the time you bought the caravan?0

If you're married then the starting point of any financial split is 50/50, taking into account the length of the marriage and any children you may have.
You need to explain more what you mean by 'partner' a civil partner, a live in boy/girl friend, someone you're dating? The answer will vary depending on what is meant. .0
