Energy bill payment ovo

Hi can someone help please. I’m with ovo and I pay my gas and electric via a payment card where I go to a pay point and pay x-amount towards my bills and I have never received any of the energy bill payments. I just called ovo and they told me I won’t receive anything due to not paying my bills by direct debit. So what do I do as it was a government scheme which everyone is entitled to. I’m so frustrated.

If you are paying on receipt of the bill it is very likely that the EBSS was deducted in the bill.

Please check if the £66/£67 was deducted and reduced the bill amount.

Alternatively, if you prepay your energy, you should have received six vouchers for £66 or £67 in the post.
