affordable travel insurance when living with cancer

Please please please has anyone got a recommendation for a travel insurance company who will either insure for or exclude cancer?  I have had numerous online quotes saying "we cannot give you a quote" and one for over £11000 single trip.  This seems so unfair

The very high premium quote obviously reflects the level of risk to the potential insurer.

Perhaps worth looking for ideas and recommendations at more specialist sites such as:

I understand this but have lived normally for 6 years, my cancer has been stable and I take one hormone tablet per day, so my cancer is highly unlikely to cause an emergency health problem whilst on a short holiday.  The questions online are very generalised.

OP, have you looked to see if your bank account has any packages that include travel insurance. I'm with Barclays and their travel pack costs £12.50 a month for World wide travel and Nationwide RAC cover. My OH has numerous medical issues, which we have told the insurer about, and they either exclude them or don't. My OH doesn't have any condition that would cause any concerns for us travelling.
