Adverse Accounts

I have just checked my credit report as I've been rejected for a bank account switch as apparently there are adverse accounts on my file. I have no idea what these are or why they are there. It says something about missed monthly payments but I haven't had any that I can think of and both of these accounts are closed. One of them in 2017 and the other in 2020. One account doesn't even appear to have a reason as to why it's been highlighted as an adverse account. The other is a utility company and I can only think that, as the account was closed the month after the apparent missed payment was due, it is a fault of the energy switch process. Can anyone help please. I feel like a total idiot because I don't understand what I'm reading on the screen.

I’m waiting for my credit report as I’ve been refused a credit card with a bank I have an account with, same reason adverse account on my file.As far as I’m concerned I 100% know there shouldn’t be as I have never missed a payment in at least 10 years, unless someone else had cocked up.0

Can you get them removed or are they there for good???0

As I understand it if you think they are wrong explain why you believe they should be removed to the CRA0

First off, check all 3 of your credit reports (no need to pay, you can get them all for free as explained here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/check-free-credit-report/ ).If you believe there is an incorrect marker on your account, you need to contact the company concerned. The CRAs won't remove "negative markers", they simply report the data that's sent to them by the lender.
