I'm a total beginner so a bit confused now
This is the shed I'm intending on buying https://www.buyshedsdirect.co.uk/10-x-8-forest-overlap-pressure-treated-windowless-double-door-apex-wooden-shed
Would I lay the treated 4x2 on the concrete? Or bricks?0 -

Would I lay the treated 4x2 on the concrete? Or bricks?4x2 straight on the concrete. Use some packing strips between the concrete and 4x2 where(/if) the concrete dips significantly or isn't level, but as you are using the 4x2 with the 2" top and bottom it will act as an effective beam spanning over minor deviations from flat and level.1 -
Thank you! And one last q, how many? What layout? Should I build a base with sides or all in one direction by themselves?

Should I build a base with sides or all in one direction by themselves? It depends what size bearers the shed manufacturer uses - typically they are 38x25mm or less. If they are that small I'd use the 4x2 parallel to the existing bearers and spaced about 18". If the bearers are more substantial then I'd use the 4x2 perpendicular to those. It also depends on how much weight you plan to keep in the shed. The more weight the closer the bearers need to be. If all you are using the shed for is some lightweight stuff then they can be spaced more widely (if you need to economise)1
