Currys Acer tablet

I was given an Acer tablet in early July last year, all of a sudden the charger has stopped working.  I've been in touch with Currys and after spending nearly 30 minutes on the phone I was told nothing could be sent and will have to go to my nearest store, but I noticed they no longer sell this model.  Please can you tell me where I stand?  I saw that this model was a unique Currys model.

Consumer rights are with the purchaser against the retailer, so if you was given the tablet it's unlikely you will be able to enforce them.
As it's over 6 months old, the onus would be on the purchaser to show the charger had a fault that was present at manufacture, but has now only just become apparent.
Chargers can easily be damaged. Would be cheaper just to buy a new usb c/usb micro charger then go through the hassle of the above.

    Greener as well.

We are all being encouraged, by the use of usbC etc., not to expect every device to have its own charger, to cut down electronic waste.
More and more manufacturers don't include chargers with new products any more.
