Reconditioned engine fitted.-inspection needed

I know certain garages do inspections but in a response to a question on a mechanics site I have been told that it is unlikely another garage would confirm the fitting of a reconditioned engine had caused a gearbox to fail. i know it sounds daft but I had my DS3 engine reconditioned by a garage miles away. However when getting the car back it had what I would say 2 oil leaks front and back of the engine. I talced up the underside of the engine so they could see the places it leaked. I contacted the garage and drove the car to Lincoln to get the repair done properly. The garage said they needed the car for 2 days so I caught the train back home. Some 3 hours later in Manchester  I got a call saying the car was done and he had had it on the ramp and everything was ok. I returned early next day and drove the car home and on return home I felt underneath the car to feel an oily substance. I decided given the amount I'd put up with it instead of going all the way back again. However within a week driving back from golf there was a flapping noise I pulled over looked under the car and it was dripping fluid. I drove the quarter of a mail home and filmed under the car. I was told by another mechanic that the fluid was gearbox oil. I am sure the gearbox problem was caused by the garage who fitted the engine. I need a motor engineer to inspect it and ley me know how the gearbox failure happened. Any advice would be welcome.

An oil leak is not a gearbox failure, driving the car with low oil levels will cause it to fail though.

They disturbed the seals removing and refitting the gearbox which seals often don't like.

Probably just needs some new seals.
