Hi, on 30th March I. Completed the CA9176 form for NI credits as a grandparent. Today I rung them to check that they have received my form, after an hour in the phone when I got through they confirmed they had it but then told me it will take up to 41 weeks before it is processed!!. Has anyone else had similar responses.

I think that only happens from the October following the financial year for which the NI credits relate to, As in for the financial year April 2022/23 the earliest you can claim is October 2023.This is to give time to check the child benefit claimant has paid enough NI so as not to need the credits, therefore they can be transferred to you
