Please can someone help me on a matter am having with virgin media at the moment my monthly bill is £157 that's for tv broadband and a mobile unlimited sim I have been in contact with virgin to lower my bill they got it down to £87 a month and I was happy with that then to be told I have to get a new sim and that's not unlimited like the 1 before and now the sim is with 02 but for me to go ahead and do that to get my new sim unlimited it was putting an extra £35 on top of the £87 or if I was not to go unlimited they were only offering me 10gd for £10 on top of the £87 that sim is for a teenager who has issues and and likes to be on her phone alot so if my sim was in my package at first do they have rights to change it or should it still stay the same and come with the new package what they were offering me

Did Virgin Media send you pre contract documents? if they did there should be one that covers the o2 sim. I went through a similar process and the the o2 sim is unlimited on texts, minutes and data.
Kind Regards,

When we took the contract out quite some time now the sim was a virgin media sim 02 was not involved at the time and it was all unlimited and now with a new contract they are telling me I need a new sim with 02 and pay £35 for it to be unlimited but my sim was included in my package for free and with unlimited so at the moment I haven't done a new contract has they got my package down to £87 but £35 on top of that with a new sim but why do I have to take a new sim if the sim I already have comes with my package0

I would put in cancellation if you still can , say you can’t afford this. Wait till they call you back, look at sim only prices on uswitch, it may be cheaper and forget volt with virgin.

I got Volt with Virgin and was originally told I didn't need to take the SIM as I didn't want it. They then back tracked and said I did have to have a Sim, so I got the cheapest one, and stuck it in a drawer. The price was the same as they agreed to knock £10 of my VM contract and charge me £10 for the SIM. It goes out as 2 different direct debits - £74 for VM, £10 to O2. O2 and VM have basically merged.0

Sounds like you were on the Ultimate Oomph bundle which included a fully unlimited Virgin Mobile sim.
Now cause they cant do you a good deal they are pulling the wool over your eyes making it look like a good deal, like Ultimate Volt, but expecting you to pay more to O2.
This (pic below) is what you should be aiming for, this is what they give to new customers. £85 is the price for BOTH VM and O2 parts. I managed to get near to this deal for £65 a month to VM and a lesser O2 Sim for £2 a month.

Just cancel the o2 account0
