Hi,
A quick question, HMRC have told me of an overpayment that I need to pay back to them. I have also had a letter from LCS asking for this payment to be made to them as they are acting on behalf of HMRC. Who do I pay?

LCS do collect on behalf of HMRC so it's possible that is why they have contacted you. The only way to really tell is to give them both a call though, I'd say, especially if they have both said pay me directly to you already.1

I have read bad review about LCS and people saying don’t pay them pay direct to HMRC0

What dates is this alleged debt from? have you previous contact with HMRC with this alleged debt?

This is a tax overpayment from the years 22-23 because my husband’s wage increased. I have contacted HMRC they said to tell LCS to transfer the debt back to them.2
