Hi,
A quick question, HMRC have told me of an overpayment that I need to pay back to them. I have also had a letter from LCS asking for this payment to be made to them as they are acting on behalf of HMRC. Who do I pay?

LCS do collect on behalf of HMRC so it's possible that is why they have contacted you. The only way to really tell is to give them both a call though, I'd say, especially if they have both said pay me directly to you already.

This is a tax overpayment from the years 22-23 because my husband’s wage increased. I have contacted HMRC they said to tell LCS to transfer the debt back to them.
