Picking up a family member from Brighton station ant midnight and I went left at the roundabout. As I’m driving down to where I thought the pick up area was I pulled slightly into a bay and look around realising no other vehicles there apart from taxis and can see people stood by their cars in the car park.  I immediately pull away and see signs on the Road directing me to where the new pick up area is.  

No from looking at these posts it seems I am expecting a fine.  

I have dashcam footage which shows not signs to say you can’t turn left as it’s taxis only and obviously proof that I didn’t pick up or drop off and that I went into the car park as directed.  If something comes through then post should I forward the dashcam footage as the registered keeper but obviously going no details of the driver?

Let's see firstly if you receive any form of correspondence about the event, whether it's from a council or a private parking provider. We can deal with the latter, the former by a specialist council ticket forum (PePiPoo.com).

This isn't a Council area.

There's a thread with an appeal specific to this scam site that never fails.  No worries. Easy to kill.  At POPLA stage add your dash-cam proof of the appalling lack of signage.

It's a well-known local trap as this used to be the passenger pick up zone.  APCOA know exactly what they are doing but we know exactly how to appeal their dross.

Next time, go straight ahead at that little roundabout (into the car park and once within, turn left) as you have 15 mins in the pick up bays.  Do NOT overstay.

ALTERNATIVELY (next time) go straight ahead at the first roundabout, immediately turn round in the road and wait beside the building, on the double yellows. It's facing the roundabout and you can safely sit and see people walking away from the station.  Double yellows are there for picking up passengers, it's ALWAYS an exemption on street, and that first road is not private land, unlike the bit you drove into.
