Popped back in to say 'welcome back' to Scarlet, Coxy and Carolbee.8

Morning everyone
We had torrential rain from about 10 last night - I lay in bed with the window open listening to it until I fell asleep.
Yesterday I went down to DDs to help pulling weeds out - with little ones 'help' as well of course! DD treated me to Chinese afterwards which we ate outside in the sunshine much to little ones delight.
I've had some disappointing news this morning - I've been refused PIP - reading the assessors' report is like reading about a different person! I'll appeal against it.
I've some jobs to do this morning then DD will give me a lift down to work at lunchtime.
Pleased to hear everyone who has been away has had good holidays.
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
I would try giving the cab a ring or looking on line for advice about your appeal. I was told to fill it in as if it were my worst day and that things I wouldn't consider, like having to lean on the sink to get off the toilet is essentially, needing an aid, things like that that you wouldn't think of. We all have a tendency to say, yeah, we're fine, when we're asked instead of telling it like it really is. But filling in these forms is a minefield and anyone who isn't used to it definitely needs help.

Hello all, I started to post earlier but I got dragged to the wood shop, I swear it's like wood p0-r-n to Mr Fix It ! Anyway we're back home and I have a coffee to hand, but now he's saying he should have bought some other wood 🙄 What ! not today we're not !
I have done a small wash this morning and hung it out, I'm hoping it dries before we get thunderstorms, the weather forecast seems to say that every day now but we've only ever had 2 claps of it and not much rain the last week
I slept well last night helped by a cool breeze coming through the window, well that and a large glass of wine 🍷😁
This afternoon I'll do some pottering and the dw will need emptying again, couldn't imagine being without one now.
Take care all, stay safe

Taff - I've spoken to a really helpful lady at Citizens Advice and now have a 2 hour phone appointment next week with them for help filling in the form for a reconsideration....so I'm not feeling quite so peed off about it.
One of the comments on the assessors report said that I did not appear tired when I answered the questions - but then I went to bed!
Also said I have a cat and can feed it...x8 -
Glad you got some help. Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I barely walked to the front door after I'd had an op and not only did he ask me to do some excercises when I had drains coming out from everywhere, he said I was obviously OK because I'd walked to the front door. The second time, it was on the phone and they said I was ok because I didn't sound tired....And none of them are medical professionals, they're just people following a script and trying not to pay anything out.
