By the way, I was wondering about the 60 pound difference between their Letter Before Claim (£120) and PCN(£60 after 28 days), is this the same "extra 60 pounds" that many others have mentioned in this forum?0

Across the piece, figures are 'invented' as things progress, often having little correlation or explanation. Attempting to determine what is what is like trying to nail a jelly to a wall - little point in trying! Not sure what 'PCBN' is, not an acronym I recognise.samfromuk said:By the way, I was wondering about the 60 pound difference between their Letter Before Claim (£120) and PCBN(£60 after 28 days), is this the same "extra 60 pounds" that many others have mentioned in this forum? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes it is. Unrecoverable extortion IMHO.samfromuk said:By the way, I was wondering about the 60 pound difference between their Letter Before Claim (£120) and PCBN(£60 after 28 days), is this the same "extra 60 pounds" that many others have mentioned in this forum?
Thankyou for that evidence. Could be very useful!
I see this is Willen Lake where Napier used to bother people before their contract wasn't renewed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes Willen Lake indeed 🙂. I really like the place. We have been there a few times. It is a shame they have got this crazy company to manage their parking. But then I guess probably all private parking companies use similar tactics.I see this is Willen Lake where Napier used to bother people before their contract wasn't renewed.2 -
Hey guys. I have now got the couty court claim court and I am preparing my defence.
it is almost 4 years so my memory isn't great but I did make a SAR and got some docs. based on that , their first letter is dated 28 days after the alleged offence. No ticket was on the windshield. The claim form says "The defendent is pursued as the driver of the vehicle"
The photo is not very clear and I haven't identified the driver in any correspondance.
They are claiming 120 pounds "being the total of the PC and damages"
I guess I can put all 9 paragraphs in the template in my case as well as the fact that I can't remember the details such as who was driving, how good the signage was or if the machine had issues at that time. Their documents show I paid £1.50 but apparently overstayed by an hour.
Is there anything else I should be aware of?0 -
Just use the template defence posted by meltof on 12th April in the Smart parking group thread by sluzz
