I'm looking for a bit of advice for my partner, she has suffered with bad anxiety for over 5 years now and solely relies on my income as she would never be able to hold a job down due to her not confident enough to leave the house.
She has panic attacks if she leaves the house by herself and can get in to a bad state.
She is under care from the doctors, I get told a lot that she could claim some benefits from friends and family but we have never bothered applying due to her having to go to the job centre that she could not do.
We are starting to struggle a bit now and I'm starting to think should she be able to claim something but I would not have a clue wear to start.
I am in full time work and fully supporting my partner but we are struggling.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks in advance for any help

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.1

First, assuming she's under state pension age she can look at claiming PIP (Unless you live is Scotland and then it will be ADP) it's a disability benefit which isn't means tested. So, any earnings from yourself, savings/capital will not affect the amount she maybe entitled to. See links for more information. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/Other than that if she hasn't worked at some point during the last 2 tax years then the only other benefit would be Universal Credit. (UC) As it's a means tested benefit they you will need to claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're excluded from claiming. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculatorIf it shows some entitlement then she should report her health condition, supported by a fit note within 7 days of that. If she's then found to have LCWRA then she'll be entitled to an extra £390.06/month from the 4th month of your claim.1
