I ditched my 6 access and opened 4 access.  If Coventry is going to increase then it is likely to affect both.  If not, there will be better offers from other providers.  

You don't have to switch, just leave £1 to keep the account running in case it might become competitive and open the other one that pays better rates.

I had the 6 access and the old 4 access, now paying 3.6%. I was told by Coventry I could open the new one and didn't have to close the old ones, so new account open for the 4%, instant internal transfers from the old accounts but leaving a minimal amount in each. If their rate ever goes up to match I have a 14 access account

I closed the 6 access ac to get the £1k+ interest (which isn't due for payment for another 4 months) into my new Cov BS 4.0%er..
