Capital 1 App won't let me make a payment

in Credit cards
I've got a Capital 1 / Ocean credit card with a small and manageable limit.
Used the card yesterday for £9.25 (accidently left my debit card at home with my phone), so had to use the credit card in the supermarket.
Went to pay it off today and the app says that no payment is due, and there's zero option to be able to pay anything.
Is it just a case of waiting a working day or two (even though the card balance reflects I've spent £9.25 on it), or what?

Is the transaction showing as pending? If so, you might have to wait a few days for it to go through properly before you're able to make the payment.0

The transaction must clear before you can make a payment as you cannot have a credit balance. As you made the purchase on a non-business banking day, you'll need to wait until monday or likely tuesday before it clears.

Hi, don't you have a direct debit set up to clear the balance at the end of the month? That's the most effective way of demonstrating that you are in control of your finances. I'm aware that Ocean by Capital One is a credit builder card, as I had one myself at the end of my DRO.
I just set up a DD to clear the balance every month and my credit history is now very good (a few years later, obviously) and I don't need credit builder cards any more.
I wouldn't panic, you will be able to pay soon. Transactions aren't immediate and they don't need to be especially if you have a DD set up.
My own thoughts, opinion and experience of course but I now have four credit cards, none of them 'builders'. Paid off in full every month. I do have two 'frozen' and alternate them every so often. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Wait for the statement to be generated (and posted/emailed), and then make a payment?

Haven't set up a DD as it's a low limit with the minimum payment always being £5 at present. Easy enough to pay that or all the balance.
If I do get a limit increase, I'll get one in place as a safeguard.
Just trying to keep things as tidy as possible. Would like to avoid anything owed unnecessarily at present.
Thanks

Then just make a FPS from your bank account.0

Many people get caught out and don't wait for the statement before making a payment, and there's really no need to pay it off any earlier.0 -

I have a capital one card and the payment button on the app won't appear until capital one send your first statement.
I did the same recently and once the statement arrived the payment button was there.0
