Best Portable Air Con Replacement Hose

Hi, I have recently purchased an Avalla 95 portbale aircon unit which is really good, but the vent hose is too short and very stiff.
Please can anyone suggest a good replacement hose that is very flexible and unlikely to break and longer than 180cm.
TIA

Some units we used to have at work had the same construction and size as tumble dryer vent hose.

However the output fan strength is based partly on hose length so much larger lengths may lead to issues, particularly if there are bends or height increases inline.

https://www.wickes.co.uk/Manrose-PVC-White-Duct---150mm-x-3m/p/167630 might do the job. But do keep the length as short as possible and avoid any sharp bends & kinks.

  • Id contact the air con manufacturer or local retailer first.......you may be able to buy a longer hose direct from them.

Remember too that the output hose gets really quite warm so acts like a radiator in the room you are trying to cool!

Measure the diameter of the pipe, its probably 150mm.
Theres plently on Amazoon etc, including some insulated ones.

Alternatively i have wrapped mine in a blanket, that stops some of the heat gettign back into the room.

I alway found that ours worked better positioned next to the window with the shortest length of hose possible, and then placing a normal fan in front to push the cold air further into the room/house.

At one point we had 2 tower fans running which did a good job of keeping 2 bedrooms and the landing cool in the heatwave last summer.

Just keep an eye on your electricity bill. Those things eat power at a prodigious rate.
