Somebody used my address to register their fictitious company to my address. I have been receiving letters from various organizations I have returned to sender all the letters  and I got in touch with the Companies House, they expect me to send about 4 or 5 forms and other papers to show that that company is not in my house or to get rid of the mail that I receive.

QUESTION: if I don't do what they expect me what could happen?

If anyone is knowledgeable about it I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Comping. I have already consulted with both organisations.  I just wanted to  know if I don't fill in all the papers, am I at risk ? And of what?  I might go to CAB to do the writing.
But thanks a million again. Your kindness has no limits !!!

Not nice. I would also contact Action Fraud about this. They are excellent. Not only will they give you advice, they will also offer you support, as a victim.

  • Well someone is using your address which means they are dodgy and scammers, I think the longer you let that spiral the worse it will be to unpick. Doing the forms means if bailiffs/police (as a worse case scenario) come your way you have evidence it isn't you and you are trying to sort it. So I think the answer is the forms now mean less of a headache later. I'm not an expert though.
