Where would it tell me that? All I can see is the buyer request for a return.soolin said:
You need to check your seller dashboard to see if a case is open or not, this is important. If there is a case open then everything must be done via that otherwise it could get expensive.Birdman2015 said:
The initial email was from eBay so I assume that means there’s a case open?soolin said:Birdman2015 said:Thanks soolin, I’ve messaged the buyer back saying I don’t believe I’m liable so will see what he says. Wish it took it to cex now! 😂Is there a case open at all yet or has this all been done through messages? If there is a case open then there’s very little point in confronting the buyer as they don’t need to respond at all and can just wait until escalation and get a refund without returning item. He’s responded to my message offering to cover the return postage, not sure whether to just accept that, I can’t be bothered with the hassle right now.
if there isn’t a case and you are prepared to take the return, give buyer your address and remind them they will need to use a proper,y insured and tracked service to protect themselves.0 -
Thanks for clarifying that.soolin said:
Private sellers are not obliged to take change of mind returns as long as that is clearly stated in their returns policy.Birdman2015 said:
Are you allowed to back out of an eBay purchase from a non trader? Good to know.km1500 said:I think he is returning it because of change of mind which is of course allowed and normally the buyer would pay the postage in those circumstances which is what he has offered to do so if I were you I would accept the return
Yes, think I’ll just accept that and move on.
I didn't think 'change of mind' returns were 'allowed' if the seller's policy was no returns.
I rejected a return request for an item that was 'too big' when the photos and the description clearly showed the size.0 -
The original email from Ebay would have a link to the case, where you would be able to see the details and any messages from you and the buyer.Birdman2015 said:
