ICI Shares

Hi  I purchased some ICI Shares in 1996. I have since moved on a number of occasions and going through my old documents. I have read one of the old posts concerning this and still uncertain what happened and if I still have any holdings and if so who do I need to contact to check this out? Any help you can give would be most appreciated.

AkzoNobel acquired ICI in 2008 for £6.70 per share.

As Section62 writes, it was bought for 670p per share in cash in January 2008. If you held them in certificated form you should have received a cheque or electronic payment - how did you receive your dividends?

To check you need to contact the share registrar. Its name will be on the certificate but there were some mergers between the registrars in the late 90s and early 00s so you may need to Google what became of it but it'll likely be Capita/Link, Equiniti or Computershare.
