Tesco Bank Data Breach ?

I have just received an email from Tesco Bank saying that
"one of our print suppliers was recently affected by a data breach through their file transfer system. Unfortunately, as part of this cyber attack on our supplier, files containing your name, address and savings account number may have been accessed."
"As you’ve been affected by our supplier’s data breach, you could be at risk of attempted fraud. Protecting your money from all forms of fraud is important to us. So, we’re offering you a free 12-month Identity Plus subscription, provided by Experian."
Is this genuine? My son has received a very similar email from a past employer also offering a free subscription to Experian but he has been offered 24 months
Seems a bit strange that we have both received similar emails in the past week

Doesn't sound very genuine to me and I've seen nothing in the news about it but you could always ask Tesco.1

Similarly, my OH has also today received a letter from a previous employer referring to the same Experian offer that your son has received.0 -
I've just phoned the fraud line and they confirm that this is a legitimate email (I didn't call the number on the email for obvious reasons). I asked when this cyber attack happened and they didn't know and advised me to call back tomorrow on their Customer Service number (0345 678 5678).1

No, my email has only just arrived.
I was going to forward it to "phishing@tescobank.com" but I haven't as yet.
It does use my correct first name in the email and my first name does not form part of my email address...so it has made me wonder. I have not and will not click on any links.
I came up with the same info when I did a google search0 -

I can't link to the report because it's behind a payroll, but a mailing/printing company called Adare have been impacted by the MoveIT vulnerabilities mentioned in the post above. Adare count a number of banks and financial institutions among their clients.6

More news on the impact of the MOVEit hack and the people behind it.2

If you're a Tesco Bank customer and have received the email regarding the breach, will you be taking up the free 12 month Experian subscription?0

I've not received the email yet, but if I did, I would. I've previously been given a free subscription c/o TalkTalk.Reminds me that when I closed my Tesco current account, they posted me all the bank statements of someone else. Great to see they are keeping up the good work!2
