Just had this email from from Eon, was expecting a fixed tariff to be offered but just a cheaper flexi rate

Great news -
prices are
finally falling.
Hi xxx

We know that things have been difficult for a while, with high energy prices and living costs putting a strain on household budgets. We're happy to say that with wholesale costs falling, we're lowering your energy prices from 1 July.

The attached document tells you all you need to know and you can see how much it reduces your yearly cost below.

We've checked your Direct Debit, and we're lowering it to £124.79 starting with your July payment.

We're here for you.
If you're struggling to pay for your energy, see how we can help and look at the ways you can save energy in your home.

Giving a meter reading.
Got a smart meter? Then you don't need to give us a meter reading as we'll get one automatically. If you've got a standard meter you can send us a reading up to five days before 1 July, it doesn't have to be on the day. The easiest way is online.

Any way we can help, we will.

It's July in a fortnight, maybe they're just telling you what the rates will be then?

Makes it very clear the majority of the TDCV £426 average saving cf EPG price is gas.

And if I got the calcs right - that £210 is for 7730 kWh - and would scale to over £300 at the 12000 TDCV level.

So duel fuel covers the loss of EBSS £400 - but mainly via the gas.

For all electric - well my price going to go up next year - maybe £6-7+ pw without the EBSS £400 - given CI forecasting increases in electric Q4 and Q1 mid May.
