Change of Car Insurance - time issue

This may be a stupid question, but I have just sorted out my car insurance for the next year.
However when I cancelled it on the website (1st Central) you can only select a date and time, and midnight was not an option (date was greyed out). So my current insurance ends on the 17th June at 23.45 (latest time I could pick, and would not let me select the 18th) and the new insurance starts 18th June at midnight - 15 minutes later.
Is this going to be an issue, I will not be driving at this time, car will be parked up at home. Don't know if any automated system may flag the car as not insured and then get a fine!!

You will need to explain why you have 'cancelled' your existing policy.
They are usually for a year and expire at 11.59pm on the last day of the policy. My current policy runs out tomorrow at 11.59pm. I have renewed and the new policy starts at midnight the day after.0 -
The option to cancel was not there for 23.59, just 23.45 and would not allow me to select any later, think this is a fault with 1st Central website...If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0

I would be surprised if any automated systems would pick up a 15 minute gap in insurance. Even if they do, I believe the process starts with a warning letter. I don't think they go straight to a fine.

All sorted now, with online chat...
Because I did the cancellation online, it picks that time. What I should have done is switch off the auto-renewal and it would just lapse. Agent changed it for me, so now happy.. thanks allIf the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0
