Good morning
booked a holiday for 2
to dubai via best at travel
my friend has had to drop out due to family bereavement
spoke to best at travel
they cancelled one if the flights
i spoke to emirates myself who stated a full refund as been passed to my travel agent
best at travel have said i am not getting a refund
is this right and legal
any advice would be aporeciated

What are the terms of your contract with the agent, and what are the fare conditions associated with the flight tickets, i.e. are they refundable ones? If the agent isn't obliged to refund then your friend can presumably claim on a travel insurance policy?0

The OP may also be able to claim on travel insurance as cover often covers events affecting people you are travelling with. The OP will need to speak to their insurer to clarify.1

I am also unsure what you mean by “they cancelled one of the flights.“ Do you mean they cancelled the flights for the other person but you are still travelling?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
