Halifax regular savings account

Hi

Has anyone tried to change the monthly amount online? If so how do you do it as I can't figure it out.

Thanks

Karen

I suppose it depends what bank your with, but i change my standing order with them every month.

    1. Log into your internet bank

    2. Go into the standing order section and it should list your standing orders.

    3. Click on the Halifax standing order and you should go into a section where you can change the amount.

Mind you, thats what happens when i do it online at my bank, yours maybe different.

  • Hi.

I have a regular saver with halifax and all other accounts. You will have to change the standing order from where the money is coming from like the above post suggested. i.e. in my case the £250 a month comes from my current account, and thus i would change the standing order there.

    Hope this helps.

And no penalties/fees as such are incurred if this is done?

    Thanks.

I have had no fees from either my own bank or the Halifax for changing my standing order.

You must save the minimum amount to avoid any penalty (ie websaver rate only). From the website:
    • The chance to save regularly, from as little as £25 a month - that's less than £1 per day - up to £250
    • You can change the amount you save each month whenever you want online
